October 2013 Weddings
Last one before we are all caught up with wedding recaps! Yay :)
October 12: Leveda & Matthew Dexter
We met Leveda at the 98.5 bridal show, early in the year, and we also got to know the couple a little when we filmed a "How We Met/Engagement" session with them later in the summer. The two met in October, years ago - one reason why they got married in October - at a Trunk or Treat event. Matthew immediately knew he wanted to get to know Leveda better, but Leveda didn't think much more about it right away. (Their words! haha) Leveda started working in Athletics at TTU later, and Matthew worked there as well. He got her phone number the very first day she started working there, trying to get something going. Finally, after a work trip, she agreed to go on a date with him - on July 23, 2008, a date they both remembered when we talked to them. :) He says, "I remember exactly where we sat and what we ate..." How sweet are they?? You can listen to the story in their own words here: LemonZest - Leveda & Matthew - How They Met We also filmed their engagement story, also very cute, complete with pumpkin carving and sneaking around - LemonZest - Leveda & Matthew - Engagement
The two were married at Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville, a church we knew very well since the first wedding we ever filmed together was at the same church! We were with Leveda all day, so we started at a salon in Cookeville where we filmed the girls getting there hair and make-up "did." She had such a funny group of girls as her bridesmaids; it made for an entertaining morning! Casey had to leave to head to East TN as we double booked weddings for today, and I was able to stay with the wedding party in Cookeville. The girls and guys finished getting ready at the church, and I finished up Leveda's "The Dress" video: Leveda - The Dress Her dress was GORGEOUS, covered in lace and other pretty things. I loved it!
The couple decided to have a first look, which is always a happy thing for videographers and photographers. (The photographer was Amber Rena Photography; she was so great to work with! Here's her link: Amber Rena.) We love getting the look on the groom's face when he first sees his bride. The two had a ceremony under an arch covered in lights. The girls wore long, navy dresses with a lace cut-out on the back, and the guys wore grey-blue tuxes (They looked grey-blue anyway; they were a really interesting color!). The reception was also decorated in lights, complete with a huge fruit bar, an ice cream sundae bar, and a smores bar. My most favorite moment of the reception? The bouquet toss. Watch the intro to find out why!

October 12: Bailee & Josh Roark
Again, we booked two weddings for this Saturday! We love getting weddings from the Morristown area. Casey's from Jefferson County, but we hardly ever get weddings from over there for some reason. So, he was happy to go to East TN to film this one. Bailee & Josh were married at a new wedding venue: The Plantation Barn of 1810. The Rogers family (Bailee's family) actually live across the road from the barn and own it, and they decided to turn it into a full-fledged wedding location! This is a great idea for them, because the barn is so pretty! It has the rustic charm that's all the rage these days; we highly recommend it as a wedding site for any engaged couple in the area. The details at this wedding were unbelievable. The bridesmaids wore these deep, purplish dresses that were beautiful and covered in lace. Bailee looked like a bride out of a magazine, and her hair was perfectly curled. The guys were handsome country boys, wearing comfy blue jeans, but looking dressy up top. Everyone wore boots. The photographer was fantastic (Simply Croft). Brag, brag, brag. I loved it all. And I love their intro video:

October 26: Alyssa & Kevin Harris
Alyssa found our ad in Tulle Magazine, only a month before their wedding date. We were able to meet them before their wedding though, during a meeting at Poet's, and after listening to them talk about their wedding, we could tell what a pretty and fun day it would be. The two were married at The Clark House in Livingston; it's such a perfect wedding venue! The house is beautiful and has such character to it. Alyssa & Kevin were married in the backyard, where there is a nice space for just enough chairs to create an intimate atmosphere. A short walk across the yard is a covered patio that was covered on the sides as well due to the cold night. The girls wore purple dresses and carried beautiful flowers with orange in them, and the guys looked spiffy in their grey tuxes. Alyssa & Kevin were the highlight of the day (as they should be, of course), though, because of their vows that were almost exactly the same even though they wrote them separately, because of Alyssa's excited jumping dance after the ceremony was over (see Intro video), and because of their clear love and respect for one another. We loved these two, and we loved their photographers, Zach and Sarah. Thank you for finding our ad, for hiring us, and for letting us celebrate with you. We had such a fun day!

September 2013 Weddings
Still behind! Trying to catch up. :)
September 7: Amber & Ryan Sturdivant
We booked this couple back in February, so it was exciting to finally get to film their wedding! I, unfortunately, couldn't make it, but Casey did a fantastic job filming on his own. If there's one word Casey could use to describe this wedding, it would be FUN! The couple's reception was an absolute party with an entertaining DJ and lots of dancing to go with it. Another thing that stood out about their wedding was Amber's daughter. She was an absolute doll, dressed in a pretty white dress of her own. The bride wore a full dress with pick-ups on the skirt, and her veil had sweet scallops on the end. The bridesmaids were in a deep red, and the groom? A WHITE tux! He pulled it off and looked pretty snazzy. haha. The venue was a new one for us - Colonial Estate Weddings in Maryville. Check out their website if you are in the area, looking for an outside venue! Here's their intro:

September 21: Kara & Ryan Brown
We met Kara & Ryan when we were in college at UT Chattanooga. All four of us visited/attended the BCM there at one point or another. Kara is a sweet girl, smart, and always smiling. Ryan is also smart and works in the medical field. The two seem to compliment each other so well! The two were married in Chattanooga at Oakwood Baptist Church. They decorated the church stage with two doors and had flowers hanging between the two - very unique and pretty! The bridesmaids wore grey with vibrant pink flowers, and Kara wore a v-neck, classy wedding gown. We wish these two so much happiness, and I'm sorry to have missed this one! Their photographer was Scenic City Photography (Scenic City Photo). Here is their intro video!:

September 21: Tiffany & Bobby Price
Double weddings on this day! While Casey went to Chattanooga to film, I traveled a short distance to Sparta to film the Price wedding. Luckily for me, Casey got back early enough to help me. Wedding filming is always more fun with two people. :) Bobby is kind of a big deal around here - he runs one of the most well-known BBQ places around here, 2nd Act Squealin' Bob's. My dad got to talking to his dad, and well, next thing we know, we were hired to film their wedding! They had a country themed, outdoor wedding at the Price residence. The weather was beautiful, thankfully, and the yard was set up with pretty decorations, lots of detail, and an ornate wedding cake. Tiffany wore cowboy boots with her high-low sort of wedding dress, and the girls wore a coral pink. She also rode in on horseback! We loved that. Their ceremony was intimate and sweet, and their reception was a lot of fun with a live band and dancing. Their exit? A semi truck. Yep. Awesome!

August 2013 Weddings
Okay, so we are super behind on our blogging. Oops! We have been blessed with busy-ness in the Lemons household with weddings, hospital work, and other projects, plus - we are still newlyweds! Being married has been wonderful. :) Here's a recap of our August weddings:
August 10: Anita & Brandon Hunter
Please see earlier blog posts for this wedding! We didn't film it, but we did take photos for the couple since Jessica & Anita have been friends since high school. Such a fun wedding!
August 17: Julie & Kramer Tuggle
These two are absolutely precious. They dated for years before tying the knot, and you could tell how much they adored each other. The ceremony was at a church in Lebanon, and the most memorable thing (to me) there was Julie's bouquet. She tied her grandmother's wedding rings in with her flowers so she could carry them with her - so sweet. The girls wore long, light pink, flowing dresses, and the guys wore classic black tuxes. The reception was at Five Oaks Golf and Country Club. We had never filmed there, but it sure is beautiful! The rolling green hills of the golf course made for some beautiful scenery for photos and filming. It's cozy inside, and the nighttime view looking over the balcony was phenomenal. Before the couple left, they sent off lanterns! They seemed to take a while to get enough heat in them to float away (paranoid me was getting a little scared! haha), but once they were in the sky, they were so gorgeous. Stephanie Reeder was the photographer - visit her blog here: Stephanie Reeder Photography Enjoy their intro video!

August 31: Angela & Tim Dawson
Oh my goodness. The details at this wedding - I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved them. I met Angela in college; we were/are both science nerds. :) I've always thought of Angela as a sweet girl, and I was so excited when I started seeing posts about her engagement on Facebook, and I was even MORE excited when she asked if Casey and I would film her wedding. We were with Angela, her mom, and her bridesmaids all day, starting with donuts and hair/make-up at a hotel in Franklin. Check out her dress video:
Angela - The Dress
P.S. That dress, though. Are you kidding me? I wanted to fluff her skirt all day. She looked like a princess!
Angela & Tim were married in a Catholic church in Franklin. We have only filmed one other Catholic ceremony, and that one was in March of 2012, so we couldn't recall exactly what to expect. The chapel was small and intimate, and colorful stained glass windows were along the wall. The Catholic traditions were beautiful to watch and listen to as well. The reception was what blew me away the most, though! It was at CJs Off the Square - an attractive house with a charming patio on its own - and the couple had styled it into a coffee shop with an airplane atmosphere. Okay, that doesn't sound like it makes sense, but with Tim being a pilot, the little airplane decorations (including "Pilot" and "Co-Pilot" on coffee mugs at the sweetheart table and throwing toy/paper airplanes as the two left the reception) were so smart and adorable. It had a coffeehouse atmosphere as well with soft music, a coffee/tea bar, and coffee mug favors to go! I can't explain it well enough to do it justice. Check out photos at: Flameheart Studios The photographers at Flameheart Studios (Becca & Heather were the shooters this day!) are some of our favorites to work with, and Angela & Tim's photos turned out beautiful. Here's their intro video:

The Wheeler Family & Baby Mariah's Birthday!
Okay, so we never post black & white photos, but we recently did some maternity/family photos followed by some hospital/baby photos, and there are a few black & white photos that we just love. Here are some photos of this precious, beautiful family. Welcome to the world, Mariah!
