March 2014 Weddings

March 1: Mary & Bradley Gabbert
Apparently, wedding videography makes for a great wedding gift! Lauren Fox-Bergvin's mother gave our videography package to Mary & Bradley as a gift, and because of that, we were able to film this couple's lovely wedding. We also know Mary because we filmed her brother's wedding in 2012! Mary was a happy, bubbly bride who laughed most of the morning. Her dress was beautiful - it was full and had lots of texture to it. Her bridesmaids' dresses were some of my favorites I have seen so far. They were shades of pinks and creams, none of them matching, but all of them so pretty, and they fit together SO well. Mary did a fantastic job picking them all out for the girls. Oh! And her one male brides-man looked very nice as well. :) Here is her video!

Mary & Bradley were married at Linary Church of Christ in Crossville, TN. One of my favorite parts about her wedding was their guestbook! Someone made a patchwork quilt for them of pinks, browns, and creams, and guests signed the squares. I just loved it. The guys wore bowties of different patterns and suspenders...and some of them had a little trouble with the suspenders, which made for some funny video moments! :) We enjoyed this stylish wedding and the fun reception. Congrats to Mary & Bradley!

March 15:  Brittney & Adam Darby
So, I wasn't able to attend this wedding because I was on call that weekend, but Casey did, and he came back with some funny stories! When I watched the footage, I knew why he had such a fun time. This bride and her bridesmaids were HILARIOUS. Casey spent all morning with them as they got ready, and they were saying and doing funny things left and right. Brittney is a fun-loving, outgoing, adorable, sweet bride, and you could tell she was super excited about her wedding day! Brittney's dress complimented her perfectly, and the bridesmaids wore long, light pink dresses. Here is her video!

Brittney & Adam were married on March 15 in Jackson, TN. Kristen Elizabeth Photography was the photographer and was a joy to work with; you could tell she really loved what she was doing. Adam & Brittney were so sweet together. Before the ceremony, Adam gave Brittney a letter and a menu from the restaurant where they had their first date! How thoughtful is that?! The reception was entertaining as well with a special performance from a family member with her version of "Elvira." Congrats to you both, and thanks for making Casey's work day so enjoyable!

December 2013 and January 2014 Weddings

Okay, so we are severely behind with blogging again! Whoops. :) Things get so busy around here - Jessica is almost finished with her third year of medical school, and Casey has been swamped with weddings and dance recitals. We are so blessed with the amount of work we have had this year so far, and we have had so many wonderful opportunities to meet new people and clients. For this blog, we have to go way back to December and January!

December 28: Lauren & Erik Bergvin
Lauren is one of my friends from medical school, and she has such a sweet spirit. She always has a smile on her face and a positive thing to say. Needless to say, we were happy to be able to film her wedding! Lauren was a BEAUTIFUL bride. We spent all day with her and her funny bridesmaids as they got ready for the big day. Robbie Moore, our favorite make-up artist, was there to make each girl's features pop just a little bit more. We love Robbie, and we are amazed each time we work with her at how pretty she makes every bride and bridesmaid look AND feel. Alia Hale and her helpers curled (or straightened) and styled each head of hair. It was our first time working with Alia, but she worked her magic and did a wonderful job. Lauren's colors were a deep orange and purple, and the bridesmaids and attendants wore long gowns, alternating those colors. Our morning with this wedding party was so fun - the bridesmaids were hilarious; they told jokes and stories all day to keep the bride's happy nerves under control, did the thriller dance a time or two, and played the "Special Talents" game in which they would stand in a circle and each perform their "talent"...haha. Here's Lauren's video:

We got to meet Lauren's groom, Erik, this weekend as well, and they are such a good match for each other. Lauren & Erik were married at Linary Church of Christ in Crossville, TN. They dated for almost 6 years before they tied the knot, and their biggest loves (from what I can tell!) are definitely each other, their families/friends, and probably UT and their pup Delta. :) Their wedding was one of the most classic and traditional weddings we have attended in a while, and it was so nice to see. The men were dressed in black & white and sporting bow ties, and it complimented the bride's full, pearl colored bridal gown. A string quartet (umm, this was gorgeous, P.S.) played before and during the ceremony. Their Intro video also shows off the most impressive wedding cake we have ever seen and their UT pom pom exit. We are so happy for you both and hope you have enjoyed almost 6 months of marriage! (We will always remember your wedding date since you got married exactly 6 months after we did. haha)

For this wedding, we also made a reception video. Why? Because their reception was a party! Almost everyone danced their hearts out, and it made for a fun video. AND because we could appropriately use "What Does the Fox Say?" considering Lauren's maiden name is Fox. :)

January 11: Brandi & Brian Dawson
We met Brandi back in February 2013 at a bridal show and then again in August 2013 when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding we were filming. She hired us shortly after, and we got to spend the day with her and her wedding party, which included our August bride, Julie. We don't normally photograph weddings, but we did photograph this wedding along with doing the videography. Her photos are posted in older blogs! Brandi is such a sweetheart and smiled all day long, even when she and her veil were fighting the wind, and Brian and his groomsmen were fun to be around, joking most of the day. Thank you guys for giving us the opportunity to better our photography skills and for letting us celebrate with you! Hope you guys are still happy, loving newlyweds, and congratulations on your recent graduation!
