May Weddings 2015

May = peak wedding season (with October, too. haha)! 5 weddings this month, all unique and beautiful. :)

May 1, 2015: Christina & Logan Howell:
Christina & Logan were married on May 1, 2015. They tied the knot in this intimate, cool space at the Historic Southern Railway Station. I actually missed this wedding, and I am sad that I did. The venue, the decor, the small wedding...everything was beautiful, and the "Intro" video that Casey put together really showed off this wedding. Christina wore a fit and flare dress with a see-through lace back, the girls wore blush pink, the boys wore suspenders, and their son almost stole the day with how cute he was.

Their love story, as told by Logan:
"Short version of our love story: We started dating in high school, went our separate ways while I was in college, and then fate led us back to each other as I was finishing up graduate school. We agreed to meet up again after 5 years apart, and we both instantly felt a flood of emotion that made us realize we were meant to be back together. Fast forward 5 months, and I asked her to marry me after an Edwin McCain concert the day after Valentine's Day (he sings our song, "These are the Moments"). We decided to have a courthouse wedding before moving to Oregon to start our new life together, and we finally got to have the ceremony we always dreamed of one year later."

Favorite part of the day:
"Mine was seeing my beautiful wife walk down the aisle. Hers was me reading off what I said to Truitt."

Casey worked with Ariana Jordan Photographie, and her photos are so gorgeous! Here's the direct link to the Howell photos: Howell Photos. Cakery Bakery made the yummy cake, and Crouch Florist did the flowers...except for the button bouquets, which Christina did herself. I loved those! :) Here is their fantastic "Intro" video. :)

May 2, 2015: Amanda & Tyler Selby:
Amanda & Tyler were married at North Sparta Church of God, a pretty church in Sparta, TN. I had to miss this wedding as well (Boo :(...), but basically, Amanda & Tyler have been together for, like, ever. Well, 8 years, but that's still a long time! And you could still they are still very much in love after all that time dating. :) Their colors were bold and bright - pink, turquoise, orange, and yellow. Amanda only had one bridesmaid, her younger sister, and Tyler only had one groomsman, his twin brother. Some of their wedding photos were really special because they held sibling photos up from years ago. Congrats to the both of you!

Their love story, as told by Amanda:
      "
We met on May 2, 2007, exactly 8 years to the day that we got married. We were introduced by a friend, Bragan. We first met at Bon Air Church of God, and after church, we went and got a Mt. Sno (the reason we had them at the wedding). From that day, on we've had our ups and downs, but it's made us the amazing, strong couple we are today. We know each other better than anyone else in the world and could not imagine life with out each other by our side! He is my best friend and my forever love!!"

Favorite part of the day:

"
It was getting to leave in the corvette for the first time as MR. and MRS. SELBY.."

Custom Impressions by Jessica Daniels took the photos, and she really showed off the vibrant colors in the Selby wedding. Catering was by Helen's Restaurant, and the delicious treats at the reception were provided by Mountain Sno - one of the best places in the entire town of Sparta! Oh, and did I mention their awesome car?

May 23, 2015: Jillian & Brock Jones:
Jillian & Brock were married at Asbury United Methodist Church in Greeneville, TN, a grand, beautiful church. The reception was at the Valk residence. These two finally tied the knot after 8 years of dating, and it was a beautiful, sweet ceremony, and a fun reception. Jillian wore this stunning two-layered dress; the underneath layer was sleek and form-fitting, and a lace, cut-out back dress went over it and flared out into a train at the bottom. The bridesmaids wore turquoise, and they carried brightly colored flowers. The boys wore grey suits, turquoise ties, and superhero socks. :) Take a look at the beautiful bride!

Their love story, as told by Jillian:
      "
We met in middle school but didn't start dating until Freshman year of high school, through marching band. We both played trumpet and marched in the band together. We dated through high school and all of our college career. Sophomore year of college, I spent 4 months in London studying abroad. In May of 2013, Brock flew to Europe to see me, and we spent a week traveling across Western Europe. Brock surprised me on this trip by proposing in Retiro park in Madrid, Spain, on May 13, 2011. Two years and one week later, we got married after nearly eight years of dating."

Favorite part of the day:

"Brock's favorite part of the day was seeing me walk down the aisle, and mine was when I saw him when I was walking down the aisle. We also enjoyed our cake cutting food fight as well. :)
"

We worked with the wonderful Darcie Bruce; she took some fantastic photos of the Valk Wedding! Heidi Valk baked the delicious wedding cake, and Top Dog Catering made the food. The wedding coordinator was Judy Kennan. The DJ was Travis Casteel, who did a great job keeping the party going. :) Also, Greeneville, TN is an adorable town in which to get married. We love it there!

May 30, 2015: Lindsay & Lee Maxwell
Lindsay & Lee were married at First United Methodist Church in Cookeville, TN, a large, beautiful church with outstanding stained glass windows. Lindsay wore a white dress with a sweetheart neckline that fit her perfectly past her hips and had bouncy ruffles at the bottom. She added a sparkly belt around her waist for a little bling. :) The bridesmaids wore long, lavender, chiffon dresses with matching sweetheart necklines. The guys wore classy black tuxes. The coolest thing about the wedding, in my opinion? The classic, gorgeous car that they rode away in! *insert heart face emoji that isn't available on my blogger here* Here is Lindsay's "The Dress" video; she really was such a pretty bride!

Their love story, as told by Lindsay:
"Lee and I met playing golf at Tennessee Tech, We didn't know each other very well and ran into each other on campus one day and made sure we had each others' numbers so we could play golf sometime. Lee butt dialed me about 4 times in a week, so we started talking, and it was a big joke between us. I stayed in Cookeville for summer school, and we went to Dollywood on our first date with our friends ,Wes and Katie Korth. We hit it off, and it was the best date each of us had ever had. We have been inseparable since and grow closer each day! We were married on our 5th anniversary. :)

Favorite part of the day:

"
My favorite parts were getting in my dress, seeing Lee for the first time, the ceremony, and the awesome Rolls Royce we got to take pictures with and leave in."

We got to work with the supremely talented Matt Copeland from Mattography again for this wedding. Guys, this man has style, both in his photos and his clothing. AND he's pretty affordable. Chartwells catered some yummy food, Andrea Coffelt made the pretty cake, 5 Diamond Productions served up the jam, Carole Ann Johnson coordinated the day and made sure everything ran smoothly (It did!), and the Salt Box Inn provided the AWESOME, classy get away vehicle.

May 30, 2015: Brittany & Mickey Wong
Brittany & Mickey were married at Rosewood Chapel, a beautiful venue that we have filmed at several times now. Every time we go, we are impressed by the unique atmosphere and the beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces. I wasn't able to attend this ceremony due to being at the Maxwell's wedding; however, I have known Brittany for years...we used to dance together! Brittany is one of the happiest, sweetest, most positive people I know. And she seems to be really fond of Mickey, so he must be pretty great too. Brittany wore a gorgeous, princess-like, bridal gown

Their love story, as told by Brittany:
      "
Mickey and I have been friends since the end of 2010. We attended Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship together and had a couple of classes together at Tennessee Tech. We became best friends and hung out all the time. We both had liked each other for the longest time, but we always seemed to choose different paths not knowing how the other one really felt. We finally started dating and the rest, as they say, is history. :)
"As soon as we started dating, we knew that we would spend the rest of our lives together. Mickey proposed to me on February 22, 2014 in Nashville, TN. He had the perfect evening planned with secret photographers, a dinner reservation, and a concert. He pulled it off very well!! We set the wedding date for May 30, 2015 at Rosewood Chapel in Gainesboro, TN. It was the perfect day, and I am so thankful that I finally ended up with my dream man!"

Favorite part of the day:

"My favorite part of my wedding day was definitely the first look with Mickey. I was so nervous and excited to see him for the first time. Seeing him helped me to remember what the day was all about - becoming his wife.
"

We worked with SPhotography, and they produce some seriously pretty pictures. Check out photos from the Wong wedding here. Brittany's fairytale dress came from Country Bumpkin in Cookeville. Terri Wheeler made the yummy cake, Big E's BBQ provided the dinner, and Gunnel's Florist created the beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres. Congrats again to this adorable couple, and we hope you had a great honeymoon in DISNEY WORLD!
