August 6, 2016: Elisabeth & Davis Maxwell
Elisabeth & Davis were married at the Saltbox Inn in Cookeville, TN. This venue is amazing! There are outdoor locations plus a stable for receptions as well as guest lodging and vintage cars for transportation. It is beautiful, and weddings here always seem to go smoothly. This was largely due in part to Elizabeth Hale, the wedding coordinator. Casey spent the day with Elisabeth and her bridal party as they got ready for the big day. The girls all looked beautiful, and we were glad to see two of our past brides in Elisabeth's wedding party. Elisabeth looked amazing in her strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline and lace top with a jeweled belt and a skirt that flowed out from her waist. Her bridesmaids wore these stunning sparkly gold dresses. Here is her "The Dress" video:
Their love story, as told by Elisabeth:
"Davis and I met through our mutual family friend. She saw Davis at a basketball game last year and for some reason I came to her mind and from there she attempted to set us up. Davis sent me a text message the week of Christmas and we went on our first date on Jan. 3rd, 2015.
"Our first date we decided that we would meet for dinner at Sticky Fingers by the mall in Chattanooga on Davis' way back from a ballgame. Davis ended up picking me up for dinner because it was pouring down rain and I will never forget the moment that I looked at him for the first time. I knew instantly that he was different and that he was in front of me because God had put him there.
"We went to dinner and a movie and from there the rest is history. I knew very quickly that I loved him. He is my best friend and I know that he is the person that God created for me. He has all of the qualities I have always prayed for and I know that God will be the center of our marriage because we both have personal relationships with Him. I've never been as happy as I am when I'm with him and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us."
Favorite part of the day:
"My favorite part of the wedding day was the ceremony and finally getting to walk down the aisle with my Dad to Davis. It was everything that I thought it would be and I will never forget that feeling seeing him looking at me the way he did."
We worked with Jessie Holloway, who is a fantastic photographer. Her photos are always creative, unique, and beautiful. Food was by Grade A Catering with cake from Dulce Desserts. The couple had an awesome band at the reception, For A Good Time Call. Here is their Intro!
August 13, 2016: Cynthia & Travis
Cynthia & Travis were married at the bride's parents' house in Cookeville, TN. Hair was by Missy's Hot Kuts, and make-up by Randi Barksdale. Randi is from Jet Set Planning and was also the wedding coordinator for the day. She was SO great to work with and always kept us informed by email of things we needed to know beforehand. The day also ran very smoothly because of her. The bride's dress, bridesmaids' dresses, flower girl dress, and tuxedos were all from Magnolia James. Cynthia's dress looked perfect on her with a sweetheart neckline and lace sleeves and neckline, a fitted waist and a full skirt. The girls wore coral dresses in a similar style . They carried white and coral assorted bouquets from Abel Gardens. The guys wore handsome grey tuxes with coral ties.
Their love story, as told by Cynthia:
"So Travis and I met in high school. We both played basketball and went to rival high schools. We dated for a few months his senior, my junior year. We parted ways, and he went to college at Anderson University in South Carolina and I stayed in Cookeville and went to Tennessee Tech before moving to Nashville. Last year in July, Travis sends me a message and Facebook and it just kept going forward from there...thank you social media! We got engaged in December of that same year at Bobby Q's in Cookeville. We had gotten to where we would go eat there every Friday night, because one of my best friends was a waitress there on that night. On December 18 when I got home from work I just expected a usual Friday night out to Bobby Q's. Little did I know he had something else planned. He told me he wanted to propose in the restaurant but for two reasons he decided not to...one, he couldn't wait any longer and two because it was packed (which I'm glad for because I would have been super embarrassed!). So as soon as we get out of the car he proposes right there in the parking lot. It was one of the sweetest moments and was so much us...just plain and simple. We are both incredibly blessed and can't wait to see what God has in store for our lives and marriage! "Cynthia & Travis were married at the bride's parents' house in Cookeville, TN. Favorite part of the day:
"We were so blessed to spend such a special moment with our family and friends! It is so hard to pick a favorite but one moment that sticks out is when we left and walked through a tunnel of sparklers and then rode off in a gator with our dog, Duke, in the back!"
We worked with Zach and Sarah Photography for this wedding, one of our favorite photographers. They are always so easy to work with and take some amazing photos, all of the time. Rentals for the venue came from All Occasions Party Rentals. Catering was by Grade-A-Catering and the cake was from Creative Cakes by Maria Hillis. Sound was by Jacob Dodd from DJ Dodd's Sound Entertainment. Here is their Intro video!

Their love story, as told by Alyson:
"Paul and I first met and started dating way back in 8th grade when we were 14 years old. We were high school sweethearts. We broke up when I headed off to college but found each other again once we had grown into adults. We have definitely been meant to be from the start. I've always been the only one for him, and the same with him for me. :)"
Favorite part of the day:
"Paul's was seeing me walk down the isle, and mine was seeing the look on his face during our ceremony. And of course we both had a blast during our reception!"
We worked with Bethany Primrose from Primrose Photography who seemed to do a great job with the wedding photos! All of the other vendors were from CJs. Here is their Intro video!
