These two months get blogged together since we only had one wedding in August. :) As our busiest wedding season ever came to a close, we were thankful for every single wedding in 2014 so far, but we were also grateful for a small (wedding) break between August 9 and September 20. This has given us time to go on more dates as a (still) newly married couple and to do other creative videos like promotional work for some pretty great businesses and causes. We love our job. Here's our July & August recap! (YouTube seemed to mess with the colors in some of the videos - forgive the brightness in some clips!)
July 12: Bekah & Josh Rogers
Josh and Casey have known each other since middle school. They became close friends through cross country in high school, and eventually, they both wound up at UT at Chattanooga together. This is where Josh met Bekah and where I met Casey, Josh, and Bekah. :) Bekah & Josh got together in February of 2010, and they later got engaged in December of 2013.These two are two of the most selfless and kind people you will ever meet. They are respectful to each other in a Godly way, and you can tell that God made one for the other; they complement each other perfectly. As Casey got ready with the groom and his fellow groomsmen, I got to film the bride and her bridesmaids (some of them good friends of mine as well) all morning. Friends of the bride helped with hair and makeup, and Bekah became a beautiful bride. Her dress was full and covered with lace, her vintage-inspired ring sparkled, and her flowers were unique and put together by the bride herself. This crafty bride also made necklaces and earrings for her bridal party and numerous other things used to decorate her wedding day. The girls wore purple, and a mint color was an accent carried throughout.
Bekah - The Dress
Bekah & Josh were married in Buffat Heights Baptist Church, a pretty church in Knoxville. This is Bekah's home church and was conveniently only minutes from her mother's home. We worked with Heather Faulkner Photography, and I am excited about seeing the couple's photos as the photographer's work on her Facebook looks beautiful! I am quite a fan of this wedding party since I knew most of them from the BCM and since my handsome husband was one of the funny groomsmen; you can really see what goofballs they are in this video. :) Bekah's handmade details decorated the church, and the church's purple lighting on the stage really set the tone for the ceremony. It was beautiful. The couple chose not to do a "first look," and the look on Josh's face when he watched Bekah walk down the aisle to him was seriously one of the most precious we have seen. My favorite moment of the day? When Bekah released balloons for her father who unfortunately passed years ago. The sun shined down even more brightly in that instant. I know he was happy for you that day, celebrating with Jesus. Congrats to our good friends, Bekah & Josh! Happy two months and one day of marriage!

July 19: Sara & Tyler Bratten
Thank you to our DJ friends at 5 Diamond Productions for referring us for this wedding! We booked this wedding very close to the date, but luckily, we were available. :) Sara & Tyler were married at The Bridge Building in Nashville, another new venue for us. Let me just say: It is stinkin' cool. This couple got married right next to LP Field, next to a river, looking at downtown Nashville. It made for some beautiful video footage, and the pictures turned out fantastic as well. Ace Photography did a phenomenal job on this wedding; in fact, I'm going to directly link you to one of their wedding photos because I loved them so much: beautiful Bratten wedding photo. The girls wore a pretty shade of green that I'm not sure I could describe correctly (It's times like these I wish I had taken some design or art classes...), and they carried bouquets with huge, happy daisies in them. I love all the shots Casey got of Nashville - my favorite is the nighttime river shot. Congrats to this fun couple!

July 26: Cynthia & Seth Ewing
Cynthia & Seth were married on family land in Morristown, right next to Nolachucky river, shaded by trees. When Casey came back from this wedding and showed me the video footage, I was amazed at how beautiful their ceremony site was! This wedding had a southern vintage theme that was done so well. Every little detail was perfect. The wedding party wore natural creams and browns, and the bride wore a flowing white dress with a gorgeous lace neckline. We worked with Simply Croft for this wedding, and we were happy to work with them for the second time! Melissa's photos are fantastic; here's her blog with the Ewing wedding photos: Ewing Wedding Photos by Simply Croft. Again, their ceremony site was stunning, and the reception (although not featured in this video) was just as beautiful. It was also a huge party that probably lasted all night. :) Congrats on a fantastic wedding and on your marriage!

August 9: Katie & Shane Pratt
Katie & Shane have been best friends for years, and they finally decided that they were meant to be husband and wife as well! They were married at Community Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Talbott. The couple chose purple and silver as their wedding colors, the bride wore an elegant dress with a full train, and a bit of sparkle was sprinkled throughout the decor. One of my favorite things was Katie's bouquet - it was made of feathers! I haven't seen one like that before, and I loved how it added a little something extra to the bride's look. Their wedding ceremony was precious; you could really tell how much love they had for each other. We worked with This Big Moment Photography, and we are excited to see photos from the Pratt wedding soon. :) Congrats to Katie & Shane, and we wish you two all the best!

June 2014 Weddings
June was a less busy month, but we were friends with all three brides/couples that we filmed this month. That made each one even that more special for us. Take a look! (YouTube
seemed to mess with the colors in some of the videos - forgive the
brightness in some clips!)
June 7: Becca & Andrew Coleman
I have known Becca since I was in middle school - we were on the local dance team together! In other words, we wore velvet unitards and danced to Janet Jackson and Britney Spears together. Yeah. Becca started her photography business not too long after that, and her company is now one of the most successful ones in the area. Flameheart Studios is fantastic; we used them for our own wedding, and each time I look at the photos, I find a new favorite one, over a year later. Anyway, so, we were thrilled and flattered when Becca & Andrew asked us to film their wedding! We filmed a baby video for their precious little girl, Jette, previously, and later we filmed her first birthday, but we knew that their wedding day would be such a huge day for them as well.
We spent all morning with the wedding party. Becca and the bridesmaids didn't separate themselves from the boys while getting ready, so we actually got to spend all day with the entire party. We still created a video just for Becca, though. This girl had TWO dresses, each one unique and amazing. Another distinctive thing about Becca's details was her engagement ring; it has a pink stone in it, and the band has an almost textured look. Very cool! This is also the first time I had heard this song that she chose for this video, and it fit the flow of the video so well. Anyway, here is Becca's "The Dress" video!
Becca - The Dress
Becca & Andrew were married at Cedarwood Weddings, an absolutely GORGEOUS venue in Nashville. There's an older house with a huge front porch, a swing hanging from a tree in the front yard, a back patio (one covered and one not), a rolling hills outdoor space, and a barn (where the cocktail hour was). The amount of detail that this venue puts into everything is amazing, and the bouquets they made were to die for. They were huge and beautiful and perfect. We worked with You + We Photography who came all the way from California! This award-winning company takes some breathtaking photos, and Becca & Andrew's photos turned out to be no exception to that. Sasha (I'm probably not spelling his name right...) was great to work with. You will also see lots of Jette in this one, because, well, she's one of our favorite kiddos. She's pretty adorable. You also get to see their stylish wedding party (the men wore a dark blue suit, and the ladies wore blush pink, white, or gold) as well as their first babies, Dino & Jolie (their pups!). If I'm truthful, the end of this video makes me tear up a little every time. Look how happy they are. We love you guys, and we hope you have the greatest adventures together.

June 20: Rachael & Austin Carson
Rachael is one of my other best friends, and I was honored to be a Matron of Honor in her wedding! RayRay and I have known each other since kindergarten and started really re-connecting in high school; it didn't take long to become attached at the Hip. I feel like I've been through everything with this girl, including (of course, the typical high school girl...) loves and break-ups. When she told me about this guy she worked with who had a crush on her, though, I felt like I needed to do a little "research." She wasn't quite ready for a relationship at the time, but after seeing that he seemed like the type of guy she would like (Facebook can tell you a lot about a person!), I convinced her to date him. Which really means, I was the reason they got married. (KIDDING...but you're welcome. haha)
So, I, obviously, got to spend all morning with the bride, but because I was actually in the wedding, Casey got to do all the filming for this one. We began the bride's day by jumping on her bed, screaming that it was her wedding day! Rachael's friend, Cassie, did some of the hair for the day, and her other friend/practically family member, Darla, did our make-up. Our dresses were a bright marine (maybe? haha, I wore it, and I don't even know) blue, but Rachael's dress is the one you should really care about. It had a lace neckline, wrapped around her waist, and then flared out at her hips. She wore a delicate birdcage veil that was accented with a giant flower. She. looked. gorgeous. My favorite parts of this video? The typical "Rachael" faces (see 1:12, 1:48, 1:58, 3:01...), Mary Beth & I both getting to zip up her dress, and the first looks with her dad and mom. So precious.
Rachael - The Dress
Rachael & Austin were married at The Church on Main in Chattanooga. Casey & I lived in Chattanooga when we went to college, but this was still the first we had ever heard of this venue. I fell in love with it (and secretly wished I had looked at it for my own wedding!). It looks like a beautiful, elegant church on the outside, and the inside is this trendy, rustic space with hardwood floors and brick walls. The photographer for the day was Keepsake Photography (Fun fact - Its owner got married in May...we just blogged about her wedding! haha). Rachael & Austin's photos turned out vibrant and beautiful. Check out Keepsake if you are looking for wonderful photos at a reasonable value! We recommend her to brides very often!
The first clip of their Intro shows you the personalities of Austin and his groomsmen (three of which were his brothers). These boys were hilarious and were super fun to be around all day. Favorite part of this one? The bride & groom's first look with Austin's "Wow." Priceless. And necessary. :) We are happy for you two, and we can't wait to see you soon!

And, just for fun, we posted their reception video. This song they played at their reception matched with the seriousness of the details and the fun dancing warranted posting.

June 21: Ashley & Josh Harris
I also knew the third bride of the month! Ashley and I endured medical school together, and I was always impressed by how brilliant she is. She is applying to Internal Medicine residencies now! Her husband is a Physical Therapist, so just imagine how smart their (one day, maybe) kids will be. Ashley & Josh have a special story because they met, got engaged, and got married in less than a year! When you know, you know, right? They were married at Farrar Hill Farms in Manchester, another new venue for us. This venue has an old, beautiful barn, and the couple chose to use hay covered in quilts for their guests' seating. Such a cute, country chic wedding. We worked with Studio Verabella, a photography company who seems to go above and beyond for their clients! The couple chose coral and turquoise for their colors, and Ashley and her family paid special attention to all of the details. Congratulations to our favorite neighbors! ;)
