These two months get blogged together since we only had one wedding in August. :) As our busiest wedding season ever came to a close, we were thankful for every single wedding in 2014 so far, but we were also grateful for a small (wedding) break between August 9 and September 20. This has given us time to go on more dates as a (still) newly married couple and to do other creative videos like promotional work for some pretty great businesses and causes. We love our job. Here's our July & August recap! (YouTube seemed to mess with the colors in some of the videos - forgive the brightness in some clips!)
July 12: Bekah & Josh Rogers
Josh and Casey have known each other since middle school. They became close friends through cross country in high school, and eventually, they both wound up at UT at Chattanooga together. This is where Josh met Bekah and where I met Casey, Josh, and Bekah. :) Bekah & Josh got together in February of 2010, and they later got engaged in December of 2013.These two are two of the most selfless and kind people you will ever meet. They are respectful to each other in a Godly way, and you can tell that God made one for the other; they complement each other perfectly. As Casey got ready with the groom and his fellow groomsmen, I got to film the bride and her bridesmaids (some of them good friends of mine as well) all morning. Friends of the bride helped with hair and makeup, and Bekah became a beautiful bride. Her dress was full and covered with lace, her vintage-inspired ring sparkled, and her flowers were unique and put together by the bride herself. This crafty bride also made necklaces and earrings for her bridal party and numerous other things used to decorate her wedding day. The girls wore purple, and a mint color was an accent carried throughout.
Bekah - The Dress
Bekah & Josh were married in Buffat Heights Baptist Church, a pretty church in Knoxville. This is Bekah's home church and was conveniently only minutes from her mother's home. We worked with Heather Faulkner Photography, and I am excited about seeing the couple's photos as the photographer's work on her Facebook looks beautiful! I am quite a fan of this wedding party since I knew most of them from the BCM and since my handsome husband was one of the funny groomsmen; you can really see what goofballs they are in this video. :) Bekah's handmade details decorated the church, and the church's purple lighting on the stage really set the tone for the ceremony. It was beautiful. The couple chose not to do a "first look," and the look on Josh's face when he watched Bekah walk down the aisle to him was seriously one of the most precious we have seen. My favorite moment of the day? When Bekah released balloons for her father who unfortunately passed years ago. The sun shined down even more brightly in that instant. I know he was happy for you that day, celebrating with Jesus. Congrats to our good friends, Bekah & Josh! Happy two months and one day of marriage!

July 19: Sara & Tyler Bratten
Thank you to our DJ friends at 5 Diamond Productions for referring us for this wedding! We booked this wedding very close to the date, but luckily, we were available. :) Sara & Tyler were married at The Bridge Building in Nashville, another new venue for us. Let me just say: It is stinkin' cool. This couple got married right next to LP Field, next to a river, looking at downtown Nashville. It made for some beautiful video footage, and the pictures turned out fantastic as well. Ace Photography did a phenomenal job on this wedding; in fact, I'm going to directly link you to one of their wedding photos because I loved them so much: beautiful Bratten wedding photo. The girls wore a pretty shade of green that I'm not sure I could describe correctly (It's times like these I wish I had taken some design or art classes...), and they carried bouquets with huge, happy daisies in them. I love all the shots Casey got of Nashville - my favorite is the nighttime river shot. Congrats to this fun couple!

July 26: Cynthia & Seth Ewing
Cynthia & Seth were married on family land in Morristown, right next to Nolachucky river, shaded by trees. When Casey came back from this wedding and showed me the video footage, I was amazed at how beautiful their ceremony site was! This wedding had a southern vintage theme that was done so well. Every little detail was perfect. The wedding party wore natural creams and browns, and the bride wore a flowing white dress with a gorgeous lace neckline. We worked with Simply Croft for this wedding, and we were happy to work with them for the second time! Melissa's photos are fantastic; here's her blog with the Ewing wedding photos: Ewing Wedding Photos by Simply Croft. Again, their ceremony site was stunning, and the reception (although not featured in this video) was just as beautiful. It was also a huge party that probably lasted all night. :) Congrats on a fantastic wedding and on your marriage!

August 9: Katie & Shane Pratt
Katie & Shane have been best friends for years, and they finally decided that they were meant to be husband and wife as well! They were married at Community Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Talbott. The couple chose purple and silver as their wedding colors, the bride wore an elegant dress with a full train, and a bit of sparkle was sprinkled throughout the decor. One of my favorite things was Katie's bouquet - it was made of feathers! I haven't seen one like that before, and I loved how it added a little something extra to the bride's look. Their wedding ceremony was precious; you could really tell how much love they had for each other. We worked with This Big Moment Photography, and we are excited to see photos from the Pratt wedding soon. :) Congrats to Katie & Shane, and we wish you two all the best!
