September & October Weddings 2016

Fall weddings are probably my favorite! The weather is usually perfect, and when the leaves change, it's especially beautiful. If I had, had my choice when I was married, I would have married in the fall, but alas, our schedules didn't allow. Anyway, let me brag about our fall weddings!

September 2, 2016: Sydney & Steven McCracken
Sydney & Steven were married at The Loveless Barn in Nashville, TN. We LOVE this place! It's beautiful and versatile, and the photos on its website show that. Plus, the Loveless Café is delicious; we highly recommend it if you are in the area. Casey spent the morning with Sydney and her girls, and his main comment that I remember was about how sweet of a personality Sydney had. I know Sydney as well from Jordan, her sister's, wedding in November. This family is full of beautiful people, inside and out, and we were so glad to get to work with them again. Sydney was so pretty in her V neck white dress the cinched her waist and then fell out into a full skirt, with her long brunette hair curled around her shoulders. Her girls wore sleeveless navy dresses with white ribbon waists. She was so excited to marry her Marine groom. Here is her "The Dress" video!

Their love story, as told by Sydney:
"Steven and I started dating in high school; he was a senior and I was a junior. After he graduated, he left for marine bootcamp, which was 3 months of sending letters, haha. Last November is when we got engaged, and he left for his first deployment in January! It was the hardest thing I have ever gone through, but we made it. If we can make it through all of that, we can make it through anything. We wouldn't have been able to make it through everything if it wasn't for our families who have been the biggest supporters."

Favorite part of the day:
"My favorite part about the wedding was the ceremony. It honestly felt like a fairy tale, and I felt like a princess. It was so heart felt and everyone says they could feel the love that Steven and I share. I wish I could relive it everyday."

Sydney, you sure did LOOK like a princess, and we wish you and Steven that kind of happiness you felt on that day, everyday. We worked with Elm Photography for this wedding; Erica is fantastic! We love meeting new photographers that we feel, with full confidence, that we could refer our couples to; Erica is one of those photographers. We wish everyone got to work with wedding parties and families like those at the McCracken wedding. Congrats, again, to you both!

September 10, 2016: Emily & Dylan Allison
Emily & Dylan were married at the Green River Pentecostal Church in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Emily and her girls got ready at a nearby salon, enjoying their morning, laughing and taking photos of one another. It was a fun morning! Emily was calm and happy as she got ready to become Mrs. Allison. Her white dress had stitched and rhinestone detail on the bodice and her skirt was full and textured with pickups. Her shoes were probably my favorite part; you can see how amazing they are in the video. My favorite part of her "The Dress" video though? Definitely her first look with her dad - so sweet! Her girls wore long red dresses, with the maid of honor contrasted in a long grey dress. Here is her video!

Their love story, as told by Emily:
"Dylan and I actually met in school. We had went to school together since middle school, but we never really talked to each other until graduation. We ended up sitting next to each other during it on account of our last names being in alphabetical order. We talked and laughed through the whole ceremony. After graduation, we would text off and on, but nothing really came of it until we decided to take a group trip to the beach. On the last day we were sitting on the beach, and that's when he asked me to be his girlfriend. And that's where it all started. And then 4 years later that is the same way he chose to propose to me. With him and at the beach are my favorite places to be, so it was perfect."

Favorite part of the day:
"My favorite part of our wedding day, although it was all perfect, was when the doors opened, and I saw Dylan. People have always said that through all the stress and planning that when those doors open, nothing else will matter when you see them standing there. That all the stress and all the worry and all the nerves would disappear. They were right."

And you looked so happy walking down the aisle, Emily! We worked with KM Russell Photography for the Allison wedding day. Emily & Dylan's photos are beautiful! She really did a great job with them. The cake baker Sweet Lilu's - delicious! Here is their Intro video!

October 1, 2016: Alexis & Tanner Myers
Alexis & Tanner were married at Honey Creek Farms in Dandridge, TN. Their website describes the venue as a "family farm and special events venue located in Dandridge, Tennessee. Our farm is 25 acres of picturesque rolling hills, a rustic cabin surrounded by a lovely creek, numerous outdoor ceremony sites, a remodeled elegant barn, a sophisticated bridal suite, charming groom's room, a luxurious screened porch, a stately farmhouse, and much more! All of our wedding packages include basic coordination by our professional wedding coordinators, use of all of our numerous decorations, tables, chairs, linens, and much more.  Our affordable packages are tailored to meet your specific needs." We think this sounds pretty perfect, especially for the area! Dandridge is a small town in east TN, and to have a wedding venue as sophisticated as this one is pretty awesome! Alexis wore a beautiful dress with a decorated bodice and a full skirt. And underneath, she wore cowgirl boots! The most unique part about this wedding? Tanner wore a bowtie made of duck feathers and wore a duck call for a boutonniere!

Their story, as told by Alexis:
"We have been together two years. One of his best friend's girlfriends was my friend and set us up kinda on a blind date. We met at long horns for the first time in Morristown. He has a wonderful sense of humor and was with me all the way through nursing school."

Favorite part of the day:
"My favorite part was cutting the cake! And getting to be married to my best friend knowing I get to wake up to him everyday!"

Their photographer was Rich Photography; Emily Rich and Katie Beth were so easy to work with! Here are some great photos from their wedding day! Lori Parrott Smith made the wedding cake, and she makes some amazing and delicious desserts! Here is their Intro video!

October 8, 2016: Kristen & Jerin Kaldenberg
Kristen & Jerin were married at Twin Cedar Farm in east Tennessee. This venue is beautiful! Its website states: "We are a family owned/operated Special Event Venue with Weddings being our specialty. We make it a number one priority to make your wedding a day you will always cherish. We have been doing weddings for 15 years, so you know that we have the experience and know the ins and outs of what helps make everything go smoothly and worry free." The Kaldenberg wedding was wonderful, and Lynette Bell helped to make the day so easy and fun. Kendall Parsons did the hair and makeup for Kristen and her girls. Kristen wore a sweetheart neckline dress that fit her at the waist with a long flowing skirt. The bridesmaids wore long pink halter dresses. And the groom?  His handsome navy uniform! And the look on his face when his bride walked down the aisle? Absolutely precious.

Their love story, as told by Kristen:
"Jer and I started dating in the spring of 2013, my junior year of college and his 3rd year in the army reserves. It was an awkward time for both of us; I had one year left of school at the University of Tennessee before I would be forced into the real world, and he was already interested in going active in the military. Because of this, you could say we took it slow and casual at first just kind of seeing where the relationship went and having fun. Lots of movie dates, good food, and laughter!
"It was the summer of 2013 that things became serious. He took me to his home state of Iowa, and I knew instantly I was in love the moment we crossed into the Midwest. Since then, Jer and I have gone on many adventures together from Indiana to Florida to Texas, each one even better than the last. I have never met a man who has loved me the way Jerin has. He has stuck by my side and showed me how to stay true to myself, passions, and always loving one another no matter what."
Favorite part of the day:
"My ultimate favorite part of the wedding day was our ceremony. Jerin and I got married at the courthouse in March which was very short so it was a long time waiting to do the spiritual ceremony in October. It was just beautiful being able to say our vows and of course Jerin's reaction was something for the books.
"Jerins favorite part of the wedding day was our exit. We weren't expecting our guests to make a tunnel and cheering us on. It was awesome!"

We worked with Simply Stated photography, and Melissa is just a joy to work with. Her pictures from this wedding were stunning, as always. Sevier Blumen created the beautiful fall bouquets. Special Notes was the amazing DJ. Bartending was done by The Pour Guys. We love this couple, this wedding, and this Intro. Here it is!

October 22, 2016: Tori & Austin Dillard
Tori & Austin were married at The Plantation Barn of 1810 in Morristown, TN. This is one of our favorite venues in East Tennessee! The website states, "This little bit of history is located on the privately owned, working farm of Rogers Angus Farms in Morristown, Tennessee. The Barn is a rustic and relaxed escape for brides looking for a serene setting for the perfect place to say...'I Do'." We love working with Alice, the event coordinator; she is so kind and helpful, always. And this venue is beautiful and always provides such detail in all their décor. Tori's dress was so pretty with a wrapped bodice and a full skirt; she also wore a tiara on her curled hair. Her bridesmaids wore long dress in different fall colors, deep orange and dark purple. Here is her "The Dress" video!

We worked with Avenue 356 photography for this wedding, and they were great! They have some great previews from the Dillard wedding on their blog here. Thanks for letting us celebrate with you guys, and congratulations, again!
